Ezekiel 44:3 meaning and explanation
Only the prince himself may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence of the LORD. He must enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way.”
Ezekiel 44:3, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Ezekiel is being shown a visionary temple, and his guide has led him to the east gate, which stays shut because the glory of the LORD entered through it (verses 1 and 2). Verse 3 gives one exception: the prince, Israel's future ruler, may sit inside that gateway to eat in the presence of the LORD.
