The entire portion will be a square, 25,000 cubits by 25,000 cubits. You are to set apart the holy portion, along with the city property.

Ezekiel is shown a vision of the restored land, and in this verse he summarizes the central square of the whole allotment. The 25,000 by 25,000 cubit square holds two things together: the holy portion set apart for the LORD, where the priests and Levites live around the sanctuary, and the city property where ordinary residents build homes and keep pasture.
