Galatians 1:23 meaning and explanation
They only heard the account: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”
Galatians 1:23, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul is defending the origin of his gospel to the Galatian churches, who were being unsettled by teachers demanding something beyond what he had preached. He recounts how, after his call, he spent years away from Jerusalem, so the churches of Judea knew him only by report.
