Galatians 4:11 meaning and explanation
I fear for you, that my efforts for you may have been in vain.
Galatians 4:11, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul is writing to Gentile believers in Galatia whom he had evangelized, and he has just watched them adopt the calendar observances of the teachers who came after him. The verse is a personal outcry, not a doctrinal argument: the Greek word kopos means labor or toil, the weariness of his missionary work, and eike means "to no purpose." Paul is not doubting their salvation but voicing the anxiety of a founder who sees his work unraveling.
