Galatians 5:20, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Paul writes to Gentile believers in Galatia who face teachers insisting they keep the Jewish law. In his list of the acts of the flesh, he moves from idolatry and sorcery, the Greek word pharmakeia, which covered drugs, potions and incantations used to manipulate spiritual powers, to sins of temper and division: hatred, discord, jealousy, rage, rivalries, divisions and factions.
