Genesis 24:28 meaning and explanation
The girl ran and told her mother’s household about these things.
Genesis 24:28, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Rebekah has just given water to Abraham's servant and his camels at the well outside the town, and the servant has given her a gold ring and bracelets and asked about lodging. Her running to tell her mother's household is the natural response of a young woman in that culture: the household, not the individual, received and weighed news of a possible marriage.
