Jacob is blessing Joseph, the son he lost and found again, and in this verse he names the source of every good thing Joseph received. The God of your father is the covenant God who helped Joseph in slavery, prison and famine, and the Almighty is El Shaddai, the name by which God appeared to Abraham and Isaac.
