Genesis 8:17 meaning and explanation
Bring out all the living creatures that are with you—birds, livestock, and everything that crawls upon the ground—so that they can spread out over the earth and be fruitful and multiply upon it.”
Genesis 8:17, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
God speaks to Noah after the floodwaters have dried, commanding him to lead every creature out of the ark so they can spread over the earth and multiply. The wording echoes the creation mandate in Genesis 1:22 and 1:28, where God first blessed living things with fruitfulness.
