Hosea 9:13 meaning and explanation
I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a meadow. But Ephraim will bring out his children for slaughter.
Hosea 9:13, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These words come from the LORD through Hosea, who prophesied to Ephraim, the northern kingdom, in its final decades before Assyria conquered it. The picture is of a people planted like a tree in a pleasant meadow, well watered and secure, as the wealthy city of Tyre seemed to be.
