Isaiah 14:2 meaning and explanation
The nations will escort Israel and bring it to its homeland. Then the house of Israel will possess the nations as menservants and maidservants in the LORD’s land. They will make captives of their captors and rule over their oppressors.
Isaiah 14:2, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Isaiah speaks to a people who knew exile and forced labor under foreign empires. In context, the LORD has compassion on Jacob and settles Israel again in their own land, and verse 2 pictures the reversal of that humiliation: the nations themselves escort the returning exiles home.
