Isaiah 19:19 meaning and explanation
In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the center of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the LORD near her border.

Explanation preview
Isaiah has just described judgment on Egypt, but from verse 18 the tone turns to hope. Speaking of "that day," the prophet pictures Egyptians turning to the LORD, and verse 19 gives two visible markers of that turn: an altar in the middle of the land and a pillar near its border.
