Isaiah 22:8 meaning and explanation
He has uncovered the defenses of Judah. On that day you looked to the weapons in the House of the Forest.
Isaiah 22:8, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Isaiah speaks to Jerusalem, called the Valley of Vision, as an Assyrian army threatens the city. The Hebrew word for defenses suggests a covering or shelter removed, so the Lord is pictured as exposing Judah's protection and leaving the city vulnerable.
