Isaiah 26:1 meaning and explanation
In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation is established as its walls and ramparts.
Isaiah 26:1, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Isaiah has just described God's judgment on the proud city of chapter 25, and now he pictures Judah responding in song "in that day," the day of the Lord's deliverance. The speakers are the people of Judah, and the city they celebrate is not chiefly a fortress of stone but God's own saving work.
