Isaiah 42:16 meaning and explanation
I will lead the blind by a way they did not know; I will guide them on unfamiliar paths. I will turn darkness into light before them and rough places into level ground. These things I will do for them, and I will not forsake them.
Isaiah 42:16, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
God is speaking through Isaiah to a people who are blind and imprisoned (verses 7 and 22), and here He promises to lead them Himself. The blind are not merely those without sight but a nation that could not see its own way out of exile.
