Isaiah 48:15 meaning and explanation
I, even I, have spoken; yes, I have called him. I have brought him, and he will succeed in his mission.
Isaiah 48:15, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
God is speaking through Isaiah to the exiles in Babylon, and in verse 14 he has just named "the LORD's chosen ally" who will act against Babylon. In verse 15 God confirms that this calling is his own doing: he has spoken, summoned and brought this figure, and his mission will succeed.
