Jeremiah 13:19 meaning and explanation
The cities of the Negev have been shut tight, and no one can open them. All Judah has been carried into exile, wholly taken captive.
Jeremiah 13:19, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Jeremiah 13:19 comes from a judgment speech the prophet delivers to Judah before Babylon's armies arrive. The Negev is the dry southern region of the land, and its cities being shut tight means their gates are barred with no one to open them, so no refuge remains.
