Jeremiah 33:18 belongs to promises God gave the prophet while he was confined in the courtyard of the guard and Jerusalem lay under siege. Right after vowing that David would never lack a king (verse 17), God adds that Levitical priests would never lack a man to serve before Him with burnt offerings, grain offerings and sacrifices.
