Jeremiah 36:6, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Jeremiah is confined and cannot enter the temple, so he sends Baruch, his scribe, to read the scroll of his prophecies aloud at a fast day, when people from the towns of Judah would gather in Jerusalem. The purpose is stated in verse 7: perhaps the people will turn from evil and plead with the LORD, since his anger is great.
