Job 22:6 meaning and explanation
For you needlessly demanded security from your brothers and deprived the naked of their clothing.
Job 22:6, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Eliphaz is speaking, the third of Job's friends to answer him, and here he moves from argument to direct accusation. Since his theology says suffering proves sin, he invents specific crimes to fit Job's disaster: taking pledges from relatives without cause and stripping the poor of their clothing.
