Job 27:7 meaning and explanation
May my enemy be like the wicked and my opponent like the unjust.
Job 27:7, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Job has been defending himself against three friends who insist his suffering proves he has sinned. Having just sworn to hold fast his integrity (verses 5 and 6), he turns their logic back on them: may his enemy and opponent share the fate they keep assigning to him, the fate of the wicked and unjust.
