Job 34:7 meaning and explanation
What man is like Job, who drinks up derision like water?
Job 34:7, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Elihu, a younger bystander, is addressing Job's three friends and any who will listen, and here he turns his attack on Job himself. The image is vivid: Job gulps down mockery the way a thirsty man drinks water, taking it in easily and without restraint.
