Job 6:7 meaning and explanation
My soul refuses to touch them; they are loathsome food to me.
Job 6:7, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Job is answering Eliphaz, who has urged him to accept God's discipline and has compared suffering to food that must be eaten. Job takes up that image and turns it: the food set before him is so tasteless, like an egg white without salt, that his appetite, literally his nephesh, his whole self, recoils from it.
