Joel 2:4 meaning and explanation
Their appearance is like that of horses, and they gallop like swift steeds.
Joel 2:4, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Joel is describing the invading army that signals the Day of the LORD, and in verse 4 he compares the attackers to horses and swift steeds. The Hebrew word for horse, sus, is the ordinary term; the point is speed and terror, not a literal cavalry.
