Joel 2:8 meaning and explanation
They do not jostle one another; each proceeds in his path. They burst through the defenses, never breaking ranks.
Joel 2:8, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The LORD is describing the invading army He has summoned against Judah, pictured earlier as locusts and now as disciplined soldiers. The Hebrew word for jostle suggests pressing against one another, and the point is that this force moves with unnatural order: each keeps his own path, they break through defenses, and no one falls out of rank.
