John 11:56 meaning and explanation
They kept looking for Jesus and asking one another as they stood in the temple courts, “What do you think? Will He come to the feast at all?”
John 11:56, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These pilgrims have come up to Jerusalem before Passover and stand in the temple courts, the outer courtyards where worshippers gathered. They keep looking for Jesus and debating whether he will appear at the feast, since the chief priests and Pharisees had ordered anyone who knew his whereabouts to report it so he could be arrested.
