Jesus knew that the Father had delivered all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was returning to God.

At the Last Supper, with betrayal already in motion, John tells us what Jesus knew: the Father had handed everything over to Him, He had come from God, and He was going back to God. The Greek word for delivered, paradidÅmi, means to give over or entrust.
