John 16:15 meaning and explanation
Everything that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will take from what is Mine and disclose it to you.

Jesus is speaking to his disciples on the night before his death, after promising the Spirit of truth who will guide them and glorify him. Here he grounds that promise in the unity of the Father and the Son: everything the Father has belongs to him, so what the Spirit gives the disciples is not independent teaching but the shared life of God.
