John 4:45 meaning and explanation
Yet when He arrived, the Galileans welcomed Him. They had seen all the great things He had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they had gone there as well.
John 4:45, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Jesus has left Judea for Galilee after the Pharisees took notice of His growing following, and verse 44 notes His own saying that a prophet has no honor in his hometown. Verse 45 supplies the contrast: the Galileans receive Him warmly because they had been in Jerusalem for the feast and had seen what He did there.
