John 5:24 meaning and explanation
Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life.

Explanation preview
Jesus is speaking in Jerusalem during a feast, answering the Jewish leaders who are persecuting Him for healing on the Sabbath. In verse 24 He makes a solemn promise, doubled with "truly, truly." To hear His word and believe the Father who sent Him is to possess eternal life already, not merely to hope for it later.
