Joshua 10:35 comes near the end of a rapid campaign in which Israel moves from Makkedah through Libnah, Lachish, Eglon, Hebron and Debir. Eglon was one of the five Amorite cities whose king had joined Adoni-zedek against Gibeon, and the summary formula repeats what was done at Lachish.
