Joshua 12:13, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Joshua 12 is a summary list closing the account of the conquest, naming the kings Israel defeated under Moses east of the Jordan and under Joshua west of it. Verse 13 falls in the western list, a terse roll of defeated city-kings, each marked simply "one." Debir was a hill-country town also called Kiriath-sepher, captured earlier in the narrative.
