This verse closes the description of the territory Moses assigned to the Gadites before Israel crossed the Jordan. Moses had already given the tribes of Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh land east of the river, and verses 24 to 27 list the towns and boundaries of Gad's portion.
