Joshua 17:15 meaning and explanation
Joshua answered them, “If you have so many people that the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you, go to the forest and clear for yourself an area in the land of the Perizzites and the Rephaim.”
Joshua 17:15, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Joshua is answering the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, the sons of Joseph, who have complained that their single allotment is too small for their numbers. His reply is blunt and practical: if the hill country feels crowded, they should go into the forested land held by the Perizzites and Rephaim and clear it for themselves.
