Judges 13:17 meaning and explanation
Then Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, “What is your name, so that we may honor you when your word comes to pass?”
Judges 13:17, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Manoah has just offered a young goat and grain offering on a rock, still unaware that his guest is the angel of the LORD. Asking for a name was a practical courtesy in that culture: it would let the couple thank and honor the messenger publicly once the promised son arrived.
