Judges 18:1 meaning and explanation
In those days there was no king in Israel, and the tribe of the Danites was looking for territory to occupy. For up to that time they had not come into an inheritance among the tribes of Israel.
Judges 18:1, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The narrator sets the scene for the whole chapter with a phrase that returns again and again in Judges: in those days there was no king in Israel. This is a moral note as much as a political one, describing a time of disorder.
