Judges 6:26, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

The LORD is speaking to Gideon at night, continuing the commission that began when the angel appeared under the oak. Having told him to tear down his father's altar to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole beside it, God now directs him to build a proper altar on top of the stronghold and to use the pole's wood as fuel for a burnt offering with the second bull.
