He shall slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the LORD, and Aaron’s sons the priests are to sprinkle its blood against the altar on all sides.

Explanation preview
The LORD is instructing Moses at the Tent of Meeting, and here the rule covers a burnt offering taken from the flock, a sheep or a goat. The worshipper himself slaughters the animal, on the north side of the altar, while the priests, Aaron's sons, handle the blood, sprinkling it against the altar on every side.
