Leviticus 10:11 meaning and explanation

so that you may teach the Israelites all the statutes that the LORD has given them through Moses.”

Leviticus 10:11, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

These words come from God's speech to Aaron after the deaths of Nadab and Abihu, the first priests to serve in the newly dedicated tabernacle. God forbids Aaron and his sons from drinking wine or strong drink before entering the Tent of Meeting, then gives the reason: the priests must distinguish holy from common and clean from unclean, and must teach Israel all the statutes God gave through Moses.
