But if the rash spreads further on his skin after he has shown himself to the priest for his cleansing, he must present himself again to the priest.

The LORD is instructing Moses and Aaron on how priests must assess skin conditions among the Israelites. Verses 4 to 6 describe a person whose spot looked minor: the priest isolated him for two weeks, then pronounced him clean once the sore faded and did not spread.
