Leviticus 18:25 meaning and explanation
Even the land has become defiled, so I am punishing it for its sin, and the land will vomit out its inhabitants.
Leviticus 18:25, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
God is speaking to Moses for the Israelites camped at Sinai, warning them against the sexual and cultic customs of Egypt behind them and Canaan ahead. Here the land itself is pictured as a living party that has been polluted by the sins of its inhabitants, so that God's justice works through the land rejecting those who defile it.
