Leviticus 26:14, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Leviticus 26 is God's covenant speech through Moses to Israel at Sinai, setting blessings for obedience (verses 3 to 13) against curses for covenant breaking. Verse 14 opens that second half: "If, however, you fail to obey Me and to carry out all these commandments." The Hebrew verb shama, to hear or listen, carries the sense of heeding, so disobedience begins as refusal to listen to God's voice.
