Leviticus 6:23 meaning and explanation

Every grain offering for a priest shall be burned completely; it is not to be eaten.”

Leviticus 6:23, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

This verse closes the instructions about the grain offering that Aaron and his successors presented on the day of their anointing. Unlike the ordinary grain offering, from which the priests ate the remainder (verses 16 to 18), the priest's own offering was wholly burned on the altar.
