Leviticus 7:5 meaning and explanation
The priest shall burn them on the altar as an offering made by fire to the LORD; it is a guilt offering.

Explanation preview
In Leviticus 7 God gives Moses instructions for the priests at Sinai, and verse 5 describes the guilt offering, brought when someone had to make restitution for a wrong. The fat portions listed in the preceding verses, the fat tail, the fat around the inner organs, the kidneys and the lobe of the liver, were burned completely on the altar.
