Luke 10:14 meaning and explanation
But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.
Luke 10:14, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Jesus is speaking to the towns of Galilee that saw His miracles, Chorazin and Bethsaida, and He compares them with Tyre and Sidon, wealthy Phoenician cities condemned by the prophets long before (Isaiah 23; Ezekiel 26-28). Those pagan cities never witnessed His works, yet they would have repented in sackcloth and ashes had they done so.
