Luke 4:11 meaning and explanation
and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
Luke 4:11, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These words are quoted by the devil, not by Jesus. In the wilderness, Satan brings Jesus to the pinnacle of the temple and urges Him to throw Himself down, backing the dare with a line from Psalm 91 about angels lifting the righteous so their foot will not strike a stone.
