The crowd in the Nazareth synagogue had just heard Jesus read from Isaiah and claim that the Scripture was fulfilled in their hearing. They marveled at first, but when He pointed to Elijah being sent to a widow in Sidon and Elisha healing only Naaman the Syrian, their admiration turned to rage.
