Malachi 3:11 meaning and explanation
I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your land, and the vine in your field will not fail to produce fruit,” says the LORD of Hosts.
Malachi 3:11, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
In this verse God answers the complaint of Malachi's audience, a post-exilic Judah questioning whether serving God pays. Through the prophet, God promises that if the people bring the full tithe into the storehouse, he will rebuke "the devourer," a term for whatever destroys crops, likely locusts and blight.
