Mark 13:12 meaning and explanation
Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise against their parents and have them put to death.

Jesus is speaking privately to Peter, James, John and Andrew on the Mount of Olives, answering their question about when the temple will fall and what sign will precede it. In verse 12 he describes the betrayal that will mark the coming tribulation: even family bonds will break, with brother handing over brother and children turning on parents.
