Jesus is in Gethsemane, on the night of his arrest, having taken Peter, James and John further into the garden. He has already thrown himself to the ground and asked the Father that the hour might pass from him, adding, "Yet not what I will, but what You will." Verse 39 finds him returning to that same prayer a second time, using the same words.
