Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest Me. But this has happened that the Scriptures would be fulfilled.”

Jesus says this to the armed crowd sent by the chief priests, scribes and elders who have come to arrest Him in Gethsemane. He points out the contradiction: He taught openly in the temple courts day after day, and no one seized Him then.
